Pasighat selected for Smart City Program by State Government. | PMC conducted Cleaness Drive. | “Door to door campaign to raise awareness on dengue", initiated by PMC incolaboration with East Siang district administration along with Health department.

Pasighat Municipal Council:

  • Developmental Activities: 1. 100% implemented SJSRY: a. STEP-UP (Skill Training for Employment Promotion among Urban Poor): Under this component 95 nos of urban poor has been provided Diploma in Computer Application (DCA).
    b. UWSP (Urban Women Self Help Programme): Under this component 4 no of women self help group has been provided subsidy for self employment generation.

    c. USEP (Urban Self Employment Programme): Under this component 4 nos of beneficiaries has been provided subsidy for employment programme.
    d. UCDN (Urban Community Development Network): under this component 4 nos of educated women has been appointed as Community Organizer (C.O) and they are conducting survey on urban street vendors and forming women self help group.
    e. UWEP (Urban Wages Employment Programme): Under this programme a Pay & Use toilet is been construction at APST (Arunachal Pradesh State Transport), Pasighat Bus stand..
    2. Parking Place and Fees: The state Govt. has already entrusted this subject vide order No. Mun/Estt-04/2012-13, Dated Itanagar the 18th Feb. 2014 to the ULB. In this regard, the Pasighat Municipal Council is going to introduce Parking System to regulate parking of vehicles for convenient in the market area shortly. 3. Slaughter House: The Modern Abattoir/Slaughter House DPR was prepared amounting to Rs. 17.43 crores and submitted to Ministry of Food Processing and Industries Govt. of India and accordingly Ministry has approved in principle. 4. Swacchh Bharat Mission: The Swachh Bharat Mission awareness campaign was conducted extensively at 12(Twelve) wards of Pasighat Municipal Council on 13/10/2014 alongwith social service involving the local citizen and schools with a grand success. Under Swacchh Bharat Mission Household/Individual toilet, Public toilet/Community toilet, Solid Waste Management survey was successfully conducted of 12(Twelve) Wards. a DPR on Municipal Solid Waste is also being prepared through Consultants. 5. Siang Anti-Erosion Project: A DPR on Anti erosion of Siang river amounting to Rs. 24.47 crores also prepared to protect life and property of resident dwelling along the bank of Siang river and as well as of Govt. submitted to State Govt. for recommendation and forwarded to Govt. of India. 6. Civic Charges: A mass awareness meeting also organized at Town Club Pasighat inviting all HoD’s, Business Communities, Public, NGO’s, Senior Citizen regarding Civic knowledge and about Municipality power and function during August, 2014. The Private Building, Commercial Building, Private Residential Building of entire Pasighat survey has been conducted for collection of civic charges.
