  • About PMC: The 74th Constitution Amendment Act of 1992 became the instrument to revitalize the Urban Local Self Government in India and to make them full pledged constitutional bodies. The JNNURM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission) a flagship programme of the Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India which was launched in 2005 also make it part of mandatory reforms to be carried out by state government to constitute ULBs. In accordance with the provision enshrined in 74th CAA and JNNURM programme, the election to constitute Urban Local Bodies in Arunachal Pradesh was held on 13th May 2013 in Itanagar and Pasighat and the formal constitution of Pasighat Municipal Council took place on 30th May 2013. Pasighat is divided into a total of 12(Twelve) Wards as per the Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Wards Delimitation Rules 2008.
